A perfect balance of crispy, tender chicken marinated in a spicy bang bang sauce that packs a flavor punch.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes prior to grilling)
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust more or less for heat preference)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon lime juice
Instructions
Prepare the Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning. Metal skewers can be used as an alternative.
Season the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the chicken pieces with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss until the chicken is evenly coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Make the Bang Bang Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, garlic powder, and lime juice until smooth.
Assemble the Skewers: Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (204°C) for about 5 minutes.
Cook the Skewers: Place the chicken skewers in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
Serve: Remove the skewers from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. Drizzle with the remaining bang bang sauce or serve it on the side.
