Bacon-Wrapped Roast Beef is the ultimate crowd-pleaser, perfect for holiday dinners, family gatherings, or any occasion that calls for a touch of gourmet flair.
Ingredients
Scale:
2-3 pounds Beef tenderloin or ribeye
12-16 slices Bacon
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Onion powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
2 tablespoons Olive oil
2 sprigs Fresh rosemary (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This temperature allows for a nice sear on the beef while cooking through evenly.
Season the beef generously with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Make sure to coat all sides for maximum flavor.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the beef on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. This step locks in the juices and adds a beautiful crust.
While the beef is searing, prepare your bacon. Lay out the bacon slices on a cutting board, slightly overlapping them to create a blanket for the beef.
Once the beef is seared, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, wrap the bacon around the beef, tucking the ends underneath to secure the bacon in place.
Place the wrapped beef in a roasting pan. If using, add the fresh rosemary on top for an aromatic touch.
Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (medium-rare) or your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer for accurate results.
Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. This resting time allows the juices to redistribute.
Slice the roast beef, serve warm, and enjoy the delightful combination of crispy bacon and tender beef!
