This simple yet indulgent dish combines the crispness of fresh asparagus with a rich, creamy cheese sauce that coats each spear in savory goodness.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound Fresh asparagus, trimmed
2 tablespoons Olive oil
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
½ teaspoon Garlic powder
4 ounces Cream cheese, softened
½ cup Sour cream
1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This temperature will help the asparagus roast perfectly while the cheese melts.
On a baking sheet, toss the trimmed asparagus with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
Spread the asparagus in a single layer on the baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded for even cooking.
Bake the asparagus for 10 minutes, until slightly tender but still crisp.
While the asparagus is baking, in a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Remove the asparagus from the oven and spread the cheese mixture evenly over the top.
Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese over the top and return to the oven.
Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving to allow the cheese to set slightly.
