Description
These cookies are ready to melt in your mouth in just about twenty minutes. They have warm, gooey centers and slightly crisp edges.
Ingredients
Scale:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract and the egg to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
