A gourmet seafood dish that combines the rich, buttery flavor of garlic butter sauce with succulent shrimp and delicate salmon.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup chicken or seafood broth
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
2 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lemon, sliced
Instructions
Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the skillet. Sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque.
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken or seafood broth, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
While the shrimp is cooking, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a separate skillet over medium-high heat. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
Once the oil is hot, place the salmon skin-side down into the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them. Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
Serve the creamy garlic butter shrimp alongside the seared salmon on a plate. Drizzle any remaining sauce over the salmon and garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices.
