Description
A flavor-packed garlic bread that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a spicy kick from chili flakes.
Ingredients
Scale:
- 1 large loaf French baguette or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 4-5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1-2 teaspoons chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chili flakes, and salt. Mix until you have a smooth, well-blended garlic butter spread.
- Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. Place the bread on a baking sheet cut side up.
- Spread the garlic butter generously over each half of the bread.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the butter is bubbling.
- If you prefer a crispier texture, broil the garlic bread on high for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute. If desired, sprinkle chopped parsley on top.
- Slice into pieces and serve warm.
