A delightful fusion of creamy ricotta, fresh heirloom tomatoes, and crusty sourdough bread, creating a flavor-packed experience that feels both gourmet and comforting.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 slices Sourdough bread
1/2 cup Creamy ricotta cheese
1 large Heirloom tomatoes, sliced
1/4 cup Fresh basil leaves, torn
1 tablespoon Olive oil
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place the sourdough bread slices on a baking sheet. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil.
Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
While the bread is toasting, prepare the toppings. In a bowl, mix the creamy ricotta with a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste.
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly before spreading a generous layer of ricotta on each slice.
Layer the sliced heirloom tomatoes over the ricotta, and season with additional salt and pepper if desired.
Top with torn fresh basil leaves for an aromatic finish.
Drizzle a little extra olive oil over the top before serving for added richness.
