A delightful twist on traditional breads that captures the essence of your favorite cinnamon-sugar treats in each slice.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 ½ cups All-purpose flour
1 tablespoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Cream of tartar
½ teaspoon Salt
½ cup (1 stick) Unsalted butter, softened
1 cup Granulated sugar
2 large Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 cup Whole milk
2 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
½ cup Brown sugar
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Start and finish with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon to create the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Pour the remaining batter over the top and finish with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
