Ingredients
Scale:
1 lb Ground beef
2 cups Elbow macaroni
2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (10.5 oz) Cream of mushroom soup
1 cup Milk
1 medium Onion, chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup Breadcrumbs (for topping)
2 tbsp Butter, melted (for topping)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the elbow macaroni until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Add the cooked macaroni and 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese to the beef mixture, stirring until well combined.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese on top, followed by the breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious meat and cheese casserole!
