A dish so irresistibly creamy and flavorful that it might just prompt a marriage proposal! This recipe features succulent chicken breasts smothered in a rich and creamy garlic sauce, paired perfectly with wild rice.
Ingredients
Scale:
4 chicken breasts (about 1.5 pounds)
1 cup wild rice
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Be careful not to let it burn.
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Add Italian seasoning and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and let it simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
While the chicken is simmering, cook the wild rice according to package instructions.
Serve the chicken over a bed of wild rice, drizzling the creamy garlic sauce on top. Enjoy!
